Illness
Fevers: Any student with a temperature of 100° or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, or signs and symptoms of a possible communicable disease, will be sent home. Please keep students home until they remain fever-free for 24 hours without the aid of medication and free of vomiting or diarrhea symptoms for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
Rashes: All children with suspicious rashes must be excluded from school until the rash has been determined non-contagious by a doctor.

Injuries
Medical Devices: If a student requires the use of crutches, braces, splint, wheelchairs, etc in school, a medical note is required to be given to the School Nurse.
Physical Education Excuses: A medical note is required for any absences from participating in gym due to an illness or injury. The medical note must specify a return to participation date or a separate clearance note must be given to the School Nurse before any student can return to PE.
Medications
Students must bring medications in labeled containers with the proper medical forms. This includes over-the-counter medications. Medications cannot be given in school without the appropriate documentation. This includes non-prescription pain relief such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen.
